About Leonard B. Kobren, DDS
I was destined to become a dentist. My dad, Abraham, the 6th child of immigrants, became the President of the American Dental Association and a Dean at New York University. Westchester Prosthodontics is a continuous family practice for 70 years. Dad’s passion and dedication was contagious. It is with the same joy of creating exceptional patient experiences supported by exquisitely designed and carefully executed care that remains the driving force behind every decision, every action, our entire team makes every day. I love the many long term personal relationships; they are extremely rewarding. But what puts the biggest smile on our faces is creating amazing smiles and joyful tears. After college at Ohio Wesleyan University and Temple University Dental School, I completed a residency at the Westchester County Medical Center. I practiced general dentistry with my dad for 7 years. I was fortunate to then continue my education with a 4 year course of study at NYU and became a Board eligible prosthodontic specialist. From that moment, it has been a sensationally, gratifying professional/life-fulfilling journey. I am extremely involved in the dental profession. My passion is education. I have chaired every aspect of continuing education for the regional NY State Dental Association. I am the past president of one of two internationally recognized, regional prosthodontic organizations and served on the Board of Directors of the other. I have chaired the American College of Prosthodontists Education Foundation and chair its Task Force to support funding for all prosthodontic residents. I am privileged to lecture extensively on dental implants and dental esthetics to dentists, post-graduate prosthodontic residents and laboratory technicians throughout the East coast.
