About Komal F. Stoerr, MD
Dr. Stoerr attended a combined BA/MD program at The University of Missouri at Kansas City. She moved to Houston for her internship and then completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University in New York City. In August, 2000, Dr. Stoerr began her career in private practice in La Jolla, California where she developed a passion for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of skin cancer. After two years, she returned to Houston for further training in skin cancer surgery. She remained in Houston and began working at the Kelsey Seybold Clinic. In 2007 she established Dermatology Specialists of Houston. After a brief sebatical to care for her family, Dr. Stoerr is pleased to build on her passion of general dermatology and skin cancer and offer a novel approach to patient care. Dr. Stoerr is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Texas Medical Society, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Houston Dermatology Society. She has authored numerous articles and book chapters in her field, and has delivered a myriad of lectures both professionally and voluntarily for community education.
