About Kejal R. Shah, MD
Dr. Kejal Shah is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She grew up in Mumbai, India, and attended medical school at Topiwala National Medical College and Nair Hospital. After completing medical school, Dr. Shah moved to the United States and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Following her residency, Dr. Shah completed a translational research fellowship in Cutaneous Oncology in the Department of Investigative Dermatology at Rockefeller University in New York City. She carried out research under the instruction of Dr. James Krueger, a world-renowned expert. Dr. Shah completed her dermatology residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where she worked closely with faculty members including Dr. Alan Menter, an internationally-recognized expert on psoriasis. In her final year of training she served as a chief resident. Dr. Shah has authored and co-authored several scientific publications in the peer-reviewed journals. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Prior to joining Cooper Clinic in 2015, Dr. Shah was in private practice serving the Mansfield, Arlington and Flower Mound communities. Dr. Shah and her husband, Rinoo Shah, MD, have three children and have made the Park Cities/Dallas community their home. In her spare time she enjoys playing tennis, dining out and traveling.
