About Kathy Luu, Aesthetician Specialist
Kathy Luu is the proud Owner and Creative Director of Spa Logic, a full service hair salon and day spa in DuPont Circle historic area. She has worked in the beauty industry for over 23 years, starting in the industry as a nail technician to become a certified Hair Stylist, Esthetician, Makeup a Semi-Permanent Tattoo Artist. As a Creative Director, Kathy keeps all of her colorists and stylists current with the latest techniques and treatments. She schedules classes, workshops and trade shows for her designers to attend and grow their careers. She also keeps herself up to date on all the latest hair and beauty trends by attending several classes and workshops and then shares her knowledge with Spa Logic’s team of designers. She will consult with new clients who need some advice and will help find the best designer for their needs. Since opening her salon in May of 2012, Kathy has always continued to educate herself by attending business building and beauty workshops including training at L’Oréal Professional Academy, Makeup Academy of London, Jhon Jhon Institute and Esthetic Institute of Virginia and participated in other major workshops in New York, Los Angeles, London and Washington, DC. Kathy has been trained and worked with several product lines including but not limited to Living Proof, Loreal Professional, Ouidad, Deva Curl and many more. Her passion for hair and beauty has brought Kathy much success in the industry. She has established a name for herself and among her immediate community and participated in major events such as DC talent and beauty pageants; including Miss DC. As an active Stylist and beauty expert, Kathy was traveling for workshops, hair shows, and platform work several weeks of the year. Her own experience, would give her professional advice on the latest techniques, trends and styles with her own team and clients. Kathy is a charming person with a wonderful, friendly outgoing personality who gives great advice on what would look best for each and every client or what treatment might best suit your skin and your life style . She wants each guest to enjoy the time spent in her salon and spa and wants you to leave happy and feeling better about yourself.
