About Julia Toto, MD
Dr. Toto grew up in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. She completed her undergraduate degree at New York University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Neuroscience and Philosophy. After earning her M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Toto completed a residency in General Surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. She remained at Temple for an additional residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and then chose to pursue her interest in Hand Surgery through a fellowship in Hand Surgery at Region’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Dr. Toto is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is a member of numerous regional and national societies including the Connecticut State Medical Society, the CT chapter of the American College of Surgeons, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Toto’s clinical interests include breast reconstruction, body contouring after massive weight loss, as well as non-invasive facial rejuvenation and cosmetic surgery of the breasts and body.
