About John L. Millns, MD
Dr. John Millns was born in Toledo, Ohio but has been a resident of Florida since 1978. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toledo. He received his medical degree from Ohio State University and trained at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Millns is former clinical associate professor at the University of Florida. Dr. Millns is board certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology, respectively. Dr. Millns served on the faculty at the University of South Florida and is presently a clinical associate professor of Dermatology at the University of Florida, College of Medicine. Author of numerous journal articles and book chapters, Dr. Millns has been active in numerous societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American and International Societies of Dermatopathology, the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. Dr. Millns is the director of Gulf Coast Dermatopathology Laboratory which was established in 1981 and services physicians throughout the Southeast. Dr. Millns continues to maintain strong academic ties and is active in teaching dermatopathology to students and residents.
