About Igor Igdalev, DMD
`While my mother’s career sparked my interest, it was not until I graduated from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, and earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine and subsequently my Master of Science, and began practicing, that I became fully aware that dentistry is my calling. Dentistry is a continuously evolving profession, where the technology and clinical research is always advancing. In order to provide the best dental care to my patients, it is paramount that I make sure I am well versed in the latest techniques and approaches to dental treatment. In addition to taking various forms of continuing education, ranging from local dental study groups to the NYC Greater Dental Meeting, I am also active with the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. I am a New Jersey native who grew up right here in Bergen County. My family and I are avid travelers, and if we are not at the office, then you can usually find us on some adventure. Whether it’s skiing the slopes or hiking in parks, we enjoy staying active. Giving back to the world around us is something we also take very seriously. I personally have been on dental mission trips like the one I took to Costa Rica, where I was able to provide dental care to those without access to it. I have volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, where I was able to help build homes for families less fortunate than mine. In the future I plan to organize oral cancer screening days when anyone can come in and receive a free screening.
