About Gabriel J. Martinez-Diaz, MD
Gabriel J. Martinez-Diaz, M.D. is a Stanford University trained and board-certified dermatologist practicing aesthetic, medical, and procedural dermatology since 2014, and has been in the Chicago area since 2015. He is a physician associated with Northwestern Medicine, as an private practice physician, and previously practice in a cosmetic dermatology practice in the Northshore of Chicago and numerous practices in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Dr. Martinez-Diaz is originally from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and is fluent in Spanish. He moved to Madison, Wisconsin to obtain his degree with honors in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr.Martinez-Diaz attended Stanford University where he received his medical degree and gained distinction as a Doris Duke Research Fellow. He completed his medical internship at Hennepin County Medical Center, in Minneapolis, MN before moving to Pittsburgh, PA where he completed his dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Martinez-Diaz has extensively published and presented at numerous local and scientific meetings throughout his career. He has sought additional training and exposure to cosmetic dermatology and has developed a niche in neurotoxins and injectable fillers along with other aspects of cosmetic dermatology. He is an enthusiastic teacher, and served as a Adjunct Assistant Professor at Emory University in the Department of Dermatology. He has extensive experience and interests in aesthetic and procedural dermatology -- Mohs Microscopic Surgery, Laser Surgery, Neurotoxins and Injectable Fillers, general medical and surgical dermatology. He sees patients from newborns to any adult age.
