About Elizabeth Hernandez, MD
Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez developed a passion for life and learning at an early age and always worked hard to achieve her goals. During medical school training, she overcame a life-threatening illness. That profound experience taught her to value life even more, and it inspired her to choose a profession where every day she helps make patients’ lives more fulfilling. Dr Hernandez is a native Texan. After attending Eagle Pass High School, she attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2003, graduating with cum laude honors. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2010. Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez completed her five year residency training in General Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas in 2015. During medical school and her five years of training in General Surgery, Dr. Hernandez developed a strong interest in Cosmetic Surgery. She followed her residency training with an elective year of specialized training with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. From 2015 to 2016, she completed a fellowship in Texas focused entirely on cosmetic surgery of the face and body. During her fellowship, she received specialized training in facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty and body contouring. With intense focus on cosmetic surgery, she has exceptional skills and an artistic vision, which is illuminated in the outcomes of more than 4000 cosmetic surgical procedures. Dr. Hernandez is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
