Questions and Answers
Reduce excess skin and fat from the underarm between the shoulder and the elbow, Smoother skin and visible definition, More toned and proportionate appearance Dr. Abramson can gauge whether an arm lift is appropriate for you during a consult. He will perform a thorough examination and make sure all of your questions are answered so you know what to expect from your arm lift.
Dr. Abramson performs Cellulaze by inserting a tiny laser tube under the skin. The laser is then used to melt thick and lumpy fat regions, while also cutting through the more hardened, fibrous bands of tissue. While a highly technical procedure, Dr. Abramson has the certified training and experience to perform Cellulaze without flaw for every patient.
There are two common methods available for lipo, although new techniques continue to be developed. The first, tumescent liposuction, involves large volumes of saline solution injected into the fat cells to break them apart. Another technique, ultrasound-assisted liposuction, uses sound wave vibrations to rupture the cells and liquefy the fat. Both methods require incisions and the insertion of a thin hollow tube called a cannula that vacuums up the dislodged material. When you meet with Dr. Abramson, he will go over all the lipo techniques and advise you on which he thinks would be best. His expertise and guidance have been instrumental in enhancing the lives of men and women from New York City, Englewood, Manhattan and beyond.
CoolSculpting can beautifully contour the chin and upper neck to treat a double chin appearance. It is no different tolerability than treatment on other areas of the body. Kybella is an injectible designed to treat this, but it requires 30 injections per session and often times at least 3 sessions are required. Discomfort is apparent with a Kybella treatment, and some patients even experience swelling of the throat. CoolSculpting fights against the same area, but with no needles, no injections, and no discomfort.
Depending on the patient’s particular goals, there are different forms of breast enhancement procedures. For women who are looking to enlarge their breasts significantly, breast augmentation with the use of implants may be more beneficial. Because breast fat transfer uses one’s own fat to add volume, the results are not quite as dramatic as that of breast augmentation with implants. With that being said, neither of these breast enhancing procedures are ‘better’ than the other; it simply depends on the goals and expectations of the patient. Those who want a significant increase tend to go with breast implants, and those who want to avoid surgery and are satisfied with a slight increase in size gravitate towards breast fat transfer. Dr. Abramson can review the patient’s options during the initial consultation.
About 50% of men will experience symptoms of excessive breast tissue development, a condition also known as Gynecomastia. Enlarged breasts tissue can be a distressing condition in males, affecting body image and self-confidence. Breasts can become enlarged due to genetics, increased levels of estrogen, prescribed medication, or old age. Liposuction may be the ideal treatment option for men dealing with gynecomastia symptoms. Liposuction can remove the excess fat to restore a more muscular, flatter, and masculine look to the chest.
