About Danielle Deluca-Pytell, MD
I am a wife, mom, and native Metro Detroiter who loves 80’s music. Chances are, I am a lot like you. After almost fifteen years of plastic surgery practice, I opened my own solo practice in January 2019. My goal is to offer high-quality plastic surgery in a relaxed and comfortable environment that doesn’t feel like most doctor’s offices. A patient myself, l know how it feels to be on the other side of the examination table. I have designed an office with that in mind. My own medical experience nudged me to change career paths from the arts to medicine. It wasn’t until after I graduated from college that I decided to pursue becoming a doctor. After a postbaccalaureate year of study, I applied to medical school and chose Michigan State University (Go Green!) College of Human Medicine for its unique patient-based curriculum. During medical school, I got married (and hyphenated). Though I initially thought I would become a family practitioner, I loved that I could use my hands and my mind in surgery. I went on to complete my residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. That year, only 70 medical students in the country were selected to go directly into the study of plastic surgery without completing a general surgery residency first. Following my residency (and the birth of my first child!), I completed a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at the Institute of Aesthetic Surgery and Medicine in Mount Kisco, New York. There, I began my career and succeeded in becoming Board Certified, passing perhaps the most rigorous examination process in all of medicine. After nine years of practice, two hurricanes, and the birth of two more children, I returned home to Michigan. I specialize in breast and body contouring, both cosmetic and reconstructive, surgical and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, surgical and nonsurgical female intimate rejuvenation, breast reconstruction for women with breast cancer, and cosmetic surgery after weight loss. I maintain a passionate commitment to high-quality patient care. Patients are enveloped in a safe and caring environment, one where both l and my staff provide complete and continuous support from start to finish. Combining art and science with compassion and understanding, I offer patients a life-changing opportunity for improvement, both externally and internally. My practice is not just about physical change, but about overall life enhancement.
