About Christine D. Brown, MD
Dr. Christine Brown attended Rollins College, where she earned a B.A. degree in pre-medical studies and graduated with honors in chemistry. She completed her medical training at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class, earning her election into the Alpha Omega Honorary Medical Society. Dr. Brown was also the recipient of the Merck Manual Award for Outstanding Medical Studies and the American Women’s Association Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation in medical studies. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Dr. Brown completed a three-year Dermatology residency program there, serving one year as chief resident. She then completed a one-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This subspecialty of Dermatology relates to the microscopically controlled removal of difficult skin cancers. Mohs surgery has become the primary focus of Dr. Brown’s practice. In addition to her work with skin cancers, she has specialized training in dermatologic surgery including reconstructive and laser surgery. Dr. Brown and her family reside in Dallas.
