About Brian J. Katz, MD
Brian J. Katz, M.D., is a Board Certified Dermatologist practicing in Miami Beach and in Plantation, Florida. His interests include all facets of General Dermatology for both adult and pediatric patients and he performs a wide variety of cosmetic/aesthetic services. Dr. Katz’s expertise includes the early diagnosis of skin cancers especially “atypical” moles and melanoma utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques including dermoscopy, mole monitoring, and full body digital photography. Dr. Katz completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan earning a Bachelor of Science Degree with High Distinction. Additionally, he earned class honors, made the Deans List, and received the James B. Angell Scholar Award. Subsequently, he went on to attend Tel Aviv University, Sackler School of Medicine where he received his medical degree. He then completed his Residency in Dermatology in New Jersey at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he was selected to be Chief Resident.
