About Barry Fernando, MD
Dr. Fernando attended the University of Arizona where he majored in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics and Physics. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. He continued his studies at the University Of Arizona College of Medicine. His postgraduate training encompassed seven years of surgical residency training, which included a Plastic Surgery residency at the prestigious Washington University Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Fernando received additional training in Miami, Florida with an internationally renowned plastic surgeon who specialized in Cosmetic Surgery. He has authored and co-authored multiple textbook chapters and journal articles. Dr. Fernando is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
