Clear & Brilliant is a gentle laser skin resurfacing treatment that smooths skin tone and texture, reduces the size of large pores, and minimizes sun damage, brown spots, and uneven pigmentation. A single session is relatively quick, taking only about half an hour, and virtually painless. Best of all, Clear & Brilliant does not cause uncomfortable or unsightly side effects, like peeling skin or crusty sores. In many cases, patients turn to Clear & Brilliant to preserve their youthful skin and erase the subtle signs of aging before they become more obvious. Most patients can return to their everyday activities without worrying that anyone can tell that they have had work done. In most cases, there may only be a faint red look to the skin, similar to a slight sunburn.
How does Sclerotherapy work?
Sclerotherapy is a fairly simple and quick procedure. A saline solution is injected directly into the varicose or spider veins using a very thin needle. The solution essentially irritates the vein, causing it to swell and coagulate, leaving behind scar tissue that is gradually reabsorbed into the body. A single session may take no more than 30 minutes depending on the number of veins being treated and the treatment area. Patients typically see full results within a few weeks. After sclerotherapy, it is recommended that patients wear support hosiery or Spanx to help compress the treated area, encouraging the body to heal quicker. It is also recommended that patients avoid direct exposure to sunlight as well as hot baths or hot compresses.
What is the recovery time for Kybella?
A Kybella treatment usually takes under half an hour, and consists of a series of injections placed strategically in the area under the chin in order to destroy the most amount of fat cells in an even and regular manner. Some people will require multiple sessions for optimal results. It is important to only have Kybella injections done by a board-certified dermatologist with experience using Kybella. The area under the chin is sensitive with various nerve endings, and it is vital that the dermatologist doing the injections knows exactly where to place them for optimal results and to avoid any unwanted side effects. Normal side effects following a Kybella treatment include swelling, numbness, or bruising around the injection sites. These side effects will disappear on their own within a matter of days, and can be easily managed with over the counter medications and makeup. People are free to resume their daily activities immediately following a double chin treatment.
Will Microneedling with Stem Cells be a good option for Acne Scars?
If you are suffering from acne scars, wrinkling, brown spots, or just tired and drab looking skin, you may be a good candidate for microneedling with biological growth factors. Microneedling is safe and effective, and a great way to smooth and brighten the skin. It also stimulates collagen production, creating micro-injuries that push the skin’s healing powers into high gear. Microneedling with biological growth factors is a relatively painless and quick procedure with little to no downtime. There may be some swelling and redness following the procedure, which should go away on its own in a matter of hours or days, depending on the individual. It’s a great treatment option for people who don’t have a lot of time to spare for lengthy recovery times, and can be done periodically as skin maintenance once the initial sessions are over. Depending on the skin concern to be addressed. Dr. Ava will discuss the appropriate number of treatments during your consultation.
