About Anthony Musto, MD
Dr Musto specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology; his areas of interest include cataract and IOL implant surgery, upper and lower eyelid surgery, and BOTOX treatments for blepharospasm and cosmetic purposes. Dr Musto has been named “Top Doctor” in the annual Castle Connolly survey nearly every year since 1999. He is currently the Chief of Ophthalmology at Bridgeport Hospital, where he has previously served as Chief of Staff and President of the Medical Staff. In addition, he is currently Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Yale University. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the American College of Surgeons. Dr Musto has also held an academic appointment as Instructor of Ophthalmology at Cornell University. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Manhattan Eye Ear & Throat Hospital in New York. Dr Musto completed his Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science degrees at Georgetown University. He is married, with two sons: a restaurateur in Fairfield; and an attorney in Fairfield and State Senator in Trumbull.
