About Annika M. Meyer, MD
Dr. Meyer is a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who is originally from Fremont in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. There she was a member of the Dean’s List and was also nominated to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Tri-Beta National Biological Honor Society. Dr. Meyer completed her Medical Doctorate at Saint Louis University School of Medicine where she fell in love with surgery. She graduated with honors in her clinical courses and was awarded the Dr. Robert M. Woolsey Award for the best overall performance in her Neurology clerkship. She was also recognized for her academic achievement and humanism by being elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then completed her internship and residency in otolaryngology—head and neck surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Meyer has participated in scientific research, presenting at several national meetings and publishing peer-reviewed journal articles. Along with her interest in science, she has always loved art, especially drawing and painting. This influenced her decision to continue her training with a fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Columbus, Ohio. She loves how small changes of the face can have a huge impact on how patients feel, and how this self-confidence can affect all aspect of their lives. Dr. Meyer performs a wide range of facial cosmetic procedures including Botox, filler, laser therapy, eyelid and brow surgery, facelift, neck lift, otoplasty and rhinoplasty. She also performs functional nasal surgery to improve breathing and improve sinus function, facial feminization surgery, hairline lowering, facial trauma repair and facial reconstruction after cancer.
