About Ankit Desai, MD
Dr. Ankit Desai is a board certified plastic surgeon and Jacksonville native. After graduating from The Bolles School, he began his undergraduate career at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University studying biomedical engineering. He was at Johns Hopkins until he was accepted into the highly selective Junior Honors Medical Program, an accelerated medical school program at the University of Florida. He received his M.D. from UF, where he served as class president for four years, a testament to his leadership and affability. Dr. Desai went on to complete his plastic surgery residency at St. Louis University. He went on to complete further training in cosmetic surgery and served as clinical faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. dr-desai-surgeryDr. Desai returned to bring Jacksonville state-of-the-art plastic surgery, including facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, composite breast surgery using patient’s own fat, labiaplasty (aesthetic vaginal rejuvenation), tummy tuck, and body contouring. He also volunteers as president of the Board of Directors for the local Susan G. Komen affiliate and is a member of many local and national societies.
