About Andrew J. Scheman, MD
Dr. Andrew Scheman is a board certified dermatologist with special expertise in allergic contact dermatitis and occupational dermatology. He is author of 90 peer-reviewed publications and medical journal articles. Dr. Scheman is an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and is the director of the American Contact Dermatitis Society’s CAMP (Contact Allergy Management Program) database. His previous positions include Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins University and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loyola University. Dr. Scheman is also a recognized expert on antiaging skin care products and noninvasive anti-aging procedures. He headed one of the original 100 national Botox training centers and has extensive experience with Botox, cosmetic fillers, Kybella and other non-surgical anti-aging procedures. Dr. Scheman is the primary author of 8 editions of Pocket Guide to Medications Used in Dermatology and Consumer Reports Cosmetic Buying Guide. He has been featured as an expert in the field of cosmetics on The Today Show, Good Morning America, ABC's 20-20, Dateline NBC, and CNN News, as well as in numerous magazines, newspapers, and radio and TV programs. Dr. Scheman has served on the Board of Directors of the American Contact Dermatitis Society, was the Chicago Dermatologic Society’s Practitioner of the Year in 2012 and was the Alexander Fisher Lecturer for the American Contact Dermatitis Society in 2015.
