Following dental school, Dr. Alex received advanced formal training in surgical, orthodontic, and cosmetic dental procedures at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland, where she served as chief dental resident. Prior to opening Smile Theory at Millenium Park, Dr. Alex was a premier provider in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. An active member in her community, she founded and served as the director of a community service initiative designed to promote oral health awareness and provide free oral health screenings and products to women and children who lack access to dental care. Dr. Alex has continued to give back to her community by attending mission trips locally and abroad. Dr. Alex has national, state, and local dental memberships, including the American Dental Association, and the Illinois and Chicago Dental Societies. She is an Invisalign®-certified doctor and has obtained silver-level status as a BOTOX® cosmetic and JUVÉDERM® injectable provider. Dr. Alex is extremely passionate when it comes to improving how people feel about their smiles. Dr. Alex strives to improve patients’ dental experience by providing the highest standard of care possible — understanding that each patient has his or her own set of goals, expectations, and occasional fears. “I make every attempt to alleviate dental anxiety for my patients. Our office excels in showing patients that dental visits can actually be enjoyable, pain-free, and even relaxing! I strive to make each visit comfortable and enjoyable for my patients — I want you to leave my office feeling better and more confident than when you walked in,” Dr. Alex says. Dr. Alex enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved puppy named Javi aka “JaviBear,” who looks like a teddy bear and acts like a human. When she’s not in the office, Dr. Alex can be found enjoying her favorite cuisines, whether in her kitchen or at her favorite West Loop restaurants. She also loves to travel: next on her bucket list is South Africa.
