About William M. Shuffett, MD
Dr. William Shuffett is a firm believer that plastic surgical procedures should be performed only by physicians with optimal training and legitimate Board Certification. His lengthy education included an M.D. degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where he was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor medical society. This was followed by a residency in general surgery at Wake Forest University College of Medicine. Next came a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. Dr. Shuffett is Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Shuffett is on active staff as a plastic surgeon at Sharp Coronado Hospital in Coronado, California. Dr. Shuffett is married with three children and lives on Coronado Island where he and his family enjoy sailing their catamaran.
