About William B. Lide, MD
I completed all training required for both Internal Medicine and Dermatology. I am board certified in both fields, although I practice only dermatology. I recently recertified in dermatology as part of my commitment to remaining up-to-date in my field. My children grew up within two miles of our Pleasanton facility. I windsurf, bicycle, and ski. My wife quilts. My children, now adults, snowboard. Because they snowboard, my family has had a chance to see how good Kaiser Permanente is at providing health care when accidents happen, and we will forever be grateful Kaiser Permanente health plan members. I am proud to be a part of Kaiser Permanente because I share the organization's values of innovation, education, and health. Kaiser Permanente does what is good for your health. That is good for me as a practicing physician as well as a member. We have great continuing medical education for physicians and fabulous health education for members. I enjoy teaching dermatology to nurse practitioners from the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing, as I have for many years. Two of my students came to work here after graduation. I volunteer at clinics providing free care.
