About Tito L. Vasquez, MD
Tito L. Vasquez, MD FACS of Connecticut Plastic Surgery Group, LLC, is a cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon with over a decade of experience from leading surgical hospitals throughout the Northeast. These prestigious hospitals include Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, University of Pennsylvania, St. Luke’s Hospital, the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, and New York Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell Weill Medical Center. Dr. Vasquez founded Connecticut Plastic Surgery Group in 2008 with the intention of providing the greater Fairfield community with outstanding, compassionate care in the fields of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, especially breast surgery, facial rejuvenation and hand surgery. With a genuine passion for improving people’s lives through cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures and dedication to attentive and honest care for each patient, Dr. Vasquez has earned a reputation as a talented and highly competent surgeon with consistently excellent outcomes. A local of the tristate area and Connecticut, Dr. Vasquez graduated with honors from Trinity College, where he earned a BS in Biology. Dr. Vasquez received his MD from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He was the recipient of a prestigious three-year scholarship from the United States Navy. He completed his surgery internship at the National Naval Medical Center (the “President’s Hospital) in Bethesda, Maryland and earned “Outstanding” ratings for his rotations at Walter Reed Medical Center and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Serving his country as a Battalion Surgeon for the US Marine Corps, Dr. Vasquez also completed a tour of duty in Okinawa, Japan, where he provided medical care for nearly a thousand Marines and Navy corpsmen. His military service concluded at the Military Family Health Center, where he acted as a General Medical Officer. During this time, Dr. Vasquez received numerous awards and commendations, including the Navy Achievement Medal for outstanding service. Upon conclusion of his military service, Dr. Vasquez completed a five-year categorical general surgery residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Pennsylvania. In this program, he gained experience at highly respected institutions including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He then completed an orthopedic hand surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City, a world renowned orthopedic hospital ranked by US News and World Report as a top orthopedic hospital in the Northeast for 19 consecutive years and one of the top two orthopedic hospitals nationwide. Dr. Vasquez served as Senior Clinical Associate at Cornell Weill Medical Center, and gained additional experience in microsurgery at Columbia University Medical Center and in cancer surgery at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He completed his training as a surgeon in an ACGME-accredited plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Nassau University Medical Center, sponsored by the largest and longest continuously operating reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery practice in North America, the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group. Dr. Vasquez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He also completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery and Microsurgery. He is a Candidate Member for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and an Active Member of the American College of Surgeons. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles and has been a presenter at national medical and surgical conferences on topics such as breast surgery, arthritis of the hand, and facelifts. In addition to his surgical accomplishments, Dr. Vasquez is an accomplished musician and artist, having performed two concerts at Carnegie Hall. He resides in Fairfield County, Connecticut, with his wife and two children.
