About Tiffany L. Kent, MD
Dr. Kent is a specialist in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. Her expertise includes both cosmetic and functional surgical and non-surgical treatments to the eyelids, brows, eye socket and tear duct system. Dr. Kent grew up in Bay City, Michigan. She then completed her undergraduate education at Michigan State University, within the Lyman Briggs School. Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Kent attended the Wayne State University School of Medicine where she obtained both her MD and PhD. Following her medical school training, Dr. Kent completed her ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis, which is ranked as one of the top training programs in the country. During this time, Dr. Kent realized her passion for reconstructive surgery, and was accepted into a highly competitive oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship through the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Dr. Kent is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO), and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Dr. Kent has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters, and has presented at multiple national meetings. Following her training in St. Louis, Dr. Kent worked in a large multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in the Chicago area. She then decided to move back to Michigan to be closer to family and opened up Oculoplastic Associates of West Michigan. Dr. Kent and her family are thrilled to be back in their home state, and she is excited to be able to offer her expertise in both surgical and non-surgical treatments to patients in the Greater Grand Rapids area.
