About Thomas F. Wright, MD
Thomas Wright M.D., F.A.C.Ph. is a board-certified liposuction doctor who has been performing cosmetic procedures for over ten years. He was trained in liposuction by the inventor of tumescent liposuction, Dr. Jeffrey Klein. A member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Thomas Wright was voted by his peers one of St. Louis Magazine’s TOP DOCS in 2009 and 2010. Dr. Wright graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and was a member of the medical honors society Alpha Omega Alpha. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Wright, a recipient of the AMA Physician Recognition Award and an appointed Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellow, is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of American College of Phlebology and is an instructor and faculty advisor for the American Society of Nonsurgical Aesthetics. He is a member and contributor of original research for tumescent anesthesia to the American College of Phlebology. As Medical Director, Dr. Wright has been interviewed about cosmetic procedures on local television and was featured on the cover of MD News in May 2010. He is a recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Award in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013, voted on by patients, awards earned by only five percent of the 720,000 eligible physicians nationwide. In 2012, he won honors from the American College of Phlebology for his original research. In 2013, HealthTap gave Dr. Wright the Top Doctor Award and named him Top Phlebologist in the Nation.
