About Thomas Mcmeekin, MD
Dr. Thomas O. McMeekin, who is the president of the Genesee Valley Dermatology Centre, received his Bachelor of Arts with Distinction at Stanford University. He received his Doctor of Medicine with honor from the University of Rochester Medical School in 1971. Dr. McMeekin served an Internal Medicine Internship at the Harvard University Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts in 1972. He completed his residency in medicine at the University of Rochester in 1976. He completed his residency in Dermatology at Harvard University (Massachusetts General Hospital and the Lahey Clinic) in 1978. Dr. McMeekin is board certified in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. He has received the Brian Flanagan Teaching award in Dermatology twice. A nationally and internationally recognized speaker on lasers, he teaches several laser courses. He has published 21 articles and one chapter on Laser Therapy.
