About Thomas H. Lesnik, MD
Dr. Thomas Lesnik attended St. John’s University. He was a magna cum laude student, earning multiple science awards, and receiving acceptance to medical schools after his 3rd year. After attending Albany Medical College, he did residency training at St Vincent’s Hospital, Manhattan Eye Ear and throat Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, and Memorial Hospital in New York City. He was privileged to have trained with the renowned Head & Neck surgeon, Dr John Conley, the celebrated otologist, Dr Richard Bellucci, and several major Plastics and Cosmetic Surgeons – including Drs John Marquis Converse and Thomas Reese. Dr Lesnik was board certified in 1972. He served two years in the U.S navy at the Newport Naval Hospital and engaged in some private consultative work at the request of the Newport County Medical Society and Commanding Officers. Dr Tom is a member of the Connecticut State Medical Society serving as a Board of Trustee, Chairman of its Toxic Waste and incineration Committee, and as President (1988-90). He was awarded the “Distinguished Physician Award” in 1992. Dr Lesnik serves as Clinical Instructor in the Dept of Surgery at Yale-New Haven and has contributed several articles to medical literature in journals, including the Archives of Otolaryngology, Otology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the Laryngoscope. Dr Lesnik is an accomplished musician, artist, and collector of art. He and his wife, Cynthia, have five children and seven grand-children. They reside in Norwich.
