About Tatiana K. Dixon, MD
Tatiana K. Dixon, MD is Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She works extensively with patients in the UI Hospital system, both in general Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery. A board-certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Dixon completed her fellowship training in Facial Plastic Surgery and did residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UI. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine. She has done extensive research in and published on various aspects of Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Dixon has received numerous awards and honors for her research and clinical work, and has served on medical missions in Costa Rica and Guatemala. She is multilingual, with fluency in English, French, and German and working knowledge of Spanish. Dr. Dixon has published numerous journal articles and book chapters on various aspects of Facial Plastic Surgery. She has received multiple awards and honors for her research and clinical work, and she has served on medical missions in Central America. Her expertise and research interests include noninvasive and surgical procedures for facial rejuvenation, cosmetic and functional nasal surgery, and rehabilitation for facial paralysis. Dr. Dixon completed her doctor Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago; and went on to completed a prestigious five-year residency program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Illinois, Chicago where she was an Administrative Chief Resident. Following that she specialized in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery completing a fellowship under the world renowned facial plastic surgeon, Dr. J. Regan Thomas. Dr. Dixon has worked in Clinical Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago since 2013. She is one of three doctors specializing in Facial Plastics Surgery at University of Illinois Chicago.
