About Tanya R. Humphreys, MD
Dr. Tanya Humphreys is an experienced dermatologic surgeon with thousands of cases performed. She has lived and worked in the Philadelphia area for over 18 years. Dr. Humphreys was named as one of the 'Top Doctors' in the Philadelphia area for 2006. Dr. Humphreys received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and earned her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at Methodist Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas. Dr. Humphreys served as the Director of Cutaneous Surgery and Program for Lasers and Cosmetic Dermatology at the Thomas Jefferson University Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology and is also affiliated with Main Line Health. She is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery , and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Humphreys is also a member of the International Transplant Skin Cancer Cooperative. As a nationally recognized expert in dermatologic surgery, she has lectured at numerous national and international professional meetings. In addition to publishing many articles and book chapters on skin cancer, Mohs micrographic surgery, and aesthetic reconstruction , she serves on the editorial review board of the major journals in the field of dermatology and dermatologic surgery.
