About Suzanne Mednik
Dr. Suzanne Mednik is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in General Medical Dermatology. She grew up in West Los Angeles and is a true Bruin, having completed most of her education and training at UCLA. She received a B.S. in Psychobiology from UCLA, graduating summa cum laude with College Honors and Phi Beta Kappa. She then went on to complete medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she was awarded the Geffen Merit Scholarship. While in medical school, she spent a year in the laboratory of Dr. Jenny Kim performing basic science research in the pathogenesis of acne and the skin’s circadian rhythm with a stipend from the American Dermatological Association. She then ventured across town to complete her internship in Internal Medicine at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, an affiliate of the Keck School of Medicine at USC. Her training culminated with dermatology residency at UCLA. Dr. Mednik has been involved in dermatologic research that has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed journal publications and presentations at local and national meetings. She is also passionate about pediatric dermatology and has volunteered at summer camps for children with severe skin conditions.
