About Susan Goodlerner
Susan Goodlerner, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist for California Skin Institute – Torrance located in Torrance, California. Dr. Goodlerner has been providing general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology in the South Bay since 1984. "Our approach to patient care is always grounded in the foundations of what makes good medical sense, whether it be for medical or cosmetic issues,” says Dr. Goodlerner. “We like to stay on top of new technology, but it is my responsibility to sort out the procedures that are likely to produce desirable results from the expensive gimmicks.” A member of the staff of Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Little Company of Mary Hospital, Dr. Goodlerner also serves as a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. She lectures to the medical staffs of local South Bay hospitals on the latest developments in cosmetic surgery, and her practice is a BOTOX® National Training Center for teaching the technique to RNs and other MDs. A diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Goodlerner serves on the latter organization’s media advisory board. In addition, she is a member of the Los Angeles County Medical Association, the Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatologic Society, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Goodlerner completed her dermatology residency at UCLA, following two years of residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Affiliate Hospitals in Ann Arbor. A graduate of Emory University Medical School in Atlanta, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
