About Summer R. Youker, MD
Dr. Summer Youker is a highly accomplished and experienced dermatologic surgeon with a passion for people and teaching. She is a native of South Texas and completed her medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors at the top of her class. After completing her residency in Dermatology at Penn State University Medical Center, Dr. Youker was accepted for a fellowship at University of MassachusettsMemorial Medical Center for an additional year of intensive training in Mohs micrographic surgery. This fellowship was sanctioned by the prestigious American College of Mohs Surgery and was under the direction of Dr. Mary Maloney. After completing her fellowship in 2003, Dr. Youker matriculated to St. Louis University Hospital where she spent five years as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and was very active in both surgery and teaching. In 2008, Dr. Youker transferred to University of California, Davis Medical Center as an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Otolaryngology where she has continued her passion for surgery and teaching. Dr. Youker has twice been recognized as Teacher of the Year, has authored multiple publications, and has lectured both nationally and internationally on topics related to dermatologic surgery. She sits on multiple committees and is an active participant in dermatology’s local and national organizations. Dr. Youker is married to Dr. Craig Glaiberman, a native of the Sacramento area. They live in El Dorado Hills with their son. Dr. Youker’s hobbies include travel, running, and photography.
