About Steven L. Ringler, MD
Dr. Ringler has a strong desire to provide education and leadership in plastic surgery. He served as the Director of the Grand Rapids Plastic Surgery Residency Program for 12 years and is past President of the Michigan Academy of Plastic Surgeons. He also served as the Chairman of the Virgin Islands Workshop in Plastic Surgery for 18 years, an internationally recognized and highly regarded plastic surgery conference. He is the author of peer-reviewed journal studies, a presenter at national and international plastic surgery meetings, and a professor of surgery at Michigan State University. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Ringler has devoted his practice to cosmetic plastic surgery where he provides the very latest in safe, proven technology in surgical and non-surgical services. As the founder of Hair Restoration Institute, his dedication to research has led him to develop patents for non-surgical, botanical hair restoration treatments and techniques. Committed to philanthropy, Dr. Ringler is the founder and medical director of the Michigan Chapter of Operation Smile. Operation Smile provides free surgery to children with facial deformities around the globe who otherwise would not be able to afford treatment. Under his leadership, the Michigan chapter has provided treatment to over 1,300 children. Dr. Ringler also founded the Thank You Veterans Project, which provides free plastic surgery to U.S. veterans throughout the month of November for soldiers who have sustained injuries in active duty. Dr. Steven Ringler is recognized locally, nationally and internationally as a prominent plastic surgeon, leader, innovator and teacher of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
