The Seattle born doctor is unmatched in being more active on a professional or personal level. He is an athlete, accomplished drawing and sculpture artist, magician (he was certified by Magic Castle), musician and avid collector of rare clocks, memorabilia, antique magic and antique medical instruments. He is very active in numerous charities and has donated surgical procedures to deformed underprivileged children. His family history (studying genealogy is one of his hobbies) is extremely interesting. On one side, his great-great grandfather was President Benjamin Harrison, of lineage from Basil, Switzerland. His cousin, Rodolphe Meyer, M.D., is a world-renowned plastic surgeon of Lausanne, Switzerland. On the other family side, his great-great grandfather was Governor Don Luiz Terrasas, of Chijuajua, Mexico, who, in the early 1900’s was the largest landowner in the world. The Guinness Book of World Records documented that he owned 40,000,000 acres of land. All was lost during the revolution.
