About Stephen E. Hemperly, DO
Dr. Stephen Hemperly treats a wide range of dermatologic conditions for patients of all ages. His examinations are both thorough and professional, allowing patients to feel comfortable and confident in his care. Dr. Hemperly has a warm bedside manner and invites patients to be active participants in their own health and medical decisions. Dr. Hemperly has a focus on the diagnosis and surgical treatment of skin cancer. He is trained in dermoscopy and utilizes this technique during every exam to assist in the early detection of melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. He also has a special interest in minimally invasive cosmetic procedures including Botox, dermal fillers, and laser treatments. When Dr. Hemperly is not treating patients, he enjoys playing acoustic blues guitar, playing racquetball, and hiking with his wife and their dog in beautiful southern California. He moved to San Diego in 2016 to join West Dermatology and is currently accepting new patients into his practice.
