About Stacy R. Smith, MD
Dr. Smith has practiced dermatology in the San Diego area for more than 20 years. After completing his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University, he attended Hahnemann University School of Medicine (now called Drexel University) in Philadelphia. His postgraduate training was performed at the Naval Hospital in San Diego where he served as chief resident and then later as a member of the teaching faculty. He left the Naval Service in 1995 to enter private practice. He began an emphasis in clinical research in dermatology in 1997. As an active clinical researcher, Dr. Smith has firsthand experience with the latest in dermatology and aesthetic care. He is the author of numerous professional publications and lectures extensively on clinical research and treatments in dermatology.
