About Sonia Badreshia-Bansal, MD
Dr. Sonia Badreshia-Bansal serves as the CEO, co-founder, and medical director of Elite MD. Dr Badreshia-Bansal is a board certified dermatologist trained at the prestigious Penn State, College of Medicine and the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. During her advanced training with some of the leaders in cosmetic dermatology, Dr Badreshia-Bansal has become an expert in anti-aging skin treatments, Botox, cosmetic fillers, skin care, and laser treatments, as well as acne, rosacea, and ethnic skin. Dr Badreshia-Bansal is an author to over a dozen medical publications, a co-editor to a medical textbook on ethnic skin, and a speaker at national and international academic conferences. She serves on the editorial board for Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology as well as the board for Blackhawk Women’s Group. Dr. Badreshia-Bansal works alongside her husband Dr. Vivek Bansal who is a plastic surgeon at Elite MD. Dr. Badreshia-Bansal regularly contributes to mainstream media and has been quoted in Allure, Real Simple, Prevention, Self, Family Circle, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Times, and Rivaaj Indian Life and Style. You may also recognize her from the Dove’s “Next Real Woman” national ad campaign featured in the December 2007 issue of Self Magazine. “National Geographic, WebMD, AOL Health” in “Allure, Real Simple, Prevention, Self, Family Circle, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Times, and Rivaaj Indian Life and Style.” Dr. Badreshia-Bansal has collaborated with her husband on several community outreach projects. These projects have included an after-school tutorial program for inner city children which is now a part of AmeriCorps and Penn State Hershey’s LION CARE, which is now one of the largest free medical student run homeless clinics in the nation. Dr. Badreshia-Bansal offered annual free skin cancer screenings during Melanoma Month, at the national Samsung LPGA at Half Moon Bay, CA and the Longs Drugs Challenge LPGA at Danville, CA. Dr Badreshia-Bansal enjoys spending time with family, traveling, writing, dancing, calligraphy, and eating chocolate!
