About Shola B. Olorunnipa, MD
Dr. Olorunnipa received his undergraduate degree at Harvard University before obtaining his medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine. He then entered the combined Plastic Surgery Residency at New York Presbyterian/Columbia and New York Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Centers in New York City. During his final year of residency, Dr. Olorunnipa served as chief resident and received numerous awards including the Jerome P. Webster Award for Plastic Surgery Research and the Weill Cornell Alumni Council award for Distinguished House Staff. After residency, he completed additional specialty training in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Dr. Olorunnipa considers it a privilege to provide plastic and reconstructive surgical care to children and adults. His areas of expertise include cleft lip and palate surgery, craniosynostosis, general plastic surgery, and surgery for congenital and cosmetic conditions of the head, neck, and body. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
