About Shimako Ishikawa, Aesthetician Specialist
Shima is a native of the tropical island of Okinawa, Japan. She grew up fascinated with beauty and makeup, and her great grand aunt was the original source of inspiration due to her owning and running a beauty boutique till age 83. However, she didn't consider a career in beauty until moving to the high deserts of southern California. After three years living in the intense summer heat, aridness, and the harsh cold of the high desert winters, she noticed the effects on her skin. This aroused her interest in correcting these issues and so she enrolled in Elite Cosmetology beauty school to learn how help herself and others. In 2011, she got her Esthetician License after graduating from school, and has been honing her craft ever since. She studied the art of lash extension at More Lash in Costa Mesa and became a Certified Eyelash Extension Artist. She founded I.M.A BEAUTY, a salon dedicated to enhancing her clients' natural beauty. She frequently attends classes, seminars, and trade shows to keep up her craft. With her charming studio, the natural beauty of her lash extensions, and her warm personality, Shima is a triple threat!
