As an undergraduate, Dr. Margoles studied biochemistry at Trinity College in Hartford, CT, before completing a Master’s degree in neuroscience and psychology. Afterwards, she worked as a clinical neuropsychology associate and lecturer at the Yale University School of Medicine and the University of Connecticut Health Center. She also served as a research investigator for the World Health Organization (WHO) before entering Dartmouth Medical School. From the Ivy League and Geneva to Private Practice in Greenwich, CT During her time as a medical student, Dr. Margoles was granted the opportunity to continue her earlier scientific research on child/maternal health in Geneva, Switzerland, through the Rockefeller Foundation at Dartmouth, and went on to complete her medical degree with honors. It was during her studies in general surgery at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Hospital that Dr. Margoles discovered her passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery. She worked with the late Robert Goldwyn – then chief of plastic surgery at Beth Israel Hospital and editor-in-chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery – and found her inspiration in truly improving the lives of her patients. I have to think on my feet, no two cases are ever the same. completing her general surgery training, Dr. Margoles entered a postdoctoral research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. During that time she received numerous awards, research grants, and honors and became one of the original investigators into the use of lasers for skin resurfacing which lead to a radical transformation in the practice of plastic surgery. Dr. Margoles completed her training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City in 1999. Soon afterwards, she opened her private practice. Since opening her office in Greenwich, Connecticut, Dr. Margoles has enjoyed a thriving practice, providing a full range of plastic and cosmetic procedures using the most advanced techniques to patients from all over Fairfield County, CT, and Westchester County, NY.
