About Samuel J. Mucci, MD
Dr. Mucci is one of Michigan's most sought-after plastic surgeons. Dr. Mucci has over 25 years of experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Mucci is a graduate of the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has completed a general surgical residency at the University of Toledo (formerly the Medical College of Ohio), where he served as chief resident his senior year. He then completed a plastic surgery fellowship at John Hopkins/University of Maryland in Baltimore, where he was chief plastic surgery fellow his final year. He also completed a craniofacial, maxillofacial and microsurgery fellowship (for face, head and jaw) at the Shock Trauma Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Mucci has written numerous articles for scientific journals and has presented research at national and international meetings related to plastic surgery. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy, where he is actively involved in teaching surgical residents and students. He also performs procedures at the UnaSource Surgery Center in Troy. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Mucci is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Michigan State Medical Society, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Oakland County Medical Society.
