About Samuel E. Book, MD
Samuel E Book, M.D. is board certified in Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. He received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. After his Dermatology Residency at SUNY Downstate, he completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Book served as Clinical Assistant Professor at both SUNY Downstate and Yale University School of Medicine. In these institutions, Dr. Book was actively involved in the training of over 50 dermatology residents and 14 Mohs surgical fellows. Additionally, Dr. Book participated in both research studies and several publications. Dr. Book has treated more than 25,000 skin cancers and continues to enhance his techniques by studying new treatment methods and modalities. Dr. Book is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery and has been listed as one of Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors every year since 2007.
