About Sammy Sinno, MD
As a native of Chicago joining one of the top plastic surgeons in the nation, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Sammy Sinno returns to the city after honing his skills at one of the country's premiere plastic surgery training programs. Dr. Sinno's contributions to the aesthetic surgery field through research and numerous publications have already established him as a thought leader and set him apart from other young plastic surgeons in the Chicago area. Dr. Sinno graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in chemical and biomedical engineering. He then returned to Chicago to complete a surgical research fellowship at Northwestern and medical school at Loyola University of Chicago. He earned the highest honor in his medical school class for clinical excellence and was selected as a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. After graduating cum laude with a medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago, Dr. Sinno was recruited to the highly competitive combined plastic surgery residency program at New York University. For 6 years he trained at some of the nation's finest medical centers and aesthetic practices in New York City. He served as the Executive Chief Resident for the Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU Medical Center in 2016. Dr. Sinno's lifelong interest in innovation through science and research initially attracted him to the medical field, but what really drew him to medical school was knowing that hard work and a commitment to excellence ultimately benefit his patients. Plastic surgery allows Dr. Sinno to not only demonstrate his technical skill as a surgeon, but also apply the creativity and artistry that are required to create superb results. Dr. Sinno offers patients both surgical and nonsurgical procedures, including facelift, breast augmentation, and fat transfer surgeries. Even early in his career, Dr. Sinno's contributions to the field of cosmetic plastic surgery have earned national recognition. He's authored nearly 50 manuscripts involving a range of surgical procedures, including facelift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, and fat grafting. He's also lectured to colleagues at local, regional, national, and international meetings; and Dr. Sinno is a member of 15 committees dedicated to plastic surgery. He enjoys giving back to his chosen specialty, and he extends that passion to his approach to patient care: going above and beyond simply performing a procedure, by creating the best possible outcomes. Dr. Sinno is also a contributing editor and author for a major textbook on facial aesthetic surgery (face, nose, eyelids, injectables). This book is a resource for other plastic surgeons and doctors to learn the best techniques. Dr. Sinno and his wife, who is a cosmetic and restorative dentist, have 2 children. They both have extended family in the Chicago area. Dr. Sinno enjoys playing classical piano and was a 4-time state champion. He also enjoys fitness, travel, tennis, and cooking.
