About Ruth A. Larson, MD
Dr. Ruth Larson is a highly trained and respected dermatologist and Mohs skin cancer surgeon who combines meticulous care with warmth and compassion. She received her dermatologic training at UCLA and earned her medical degree from the University of Oregon. As a board certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and Fellow of the College of Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology, she provides expert diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. In fact, Dr. Larson has one of the highest cure rates for non-melanoma skin cancer, over 99% cure rate in over 8,000 Mohs cases with a 30 year follow up. Dr. Larson has been selected as one of America’s top dermatologists by the Consumer’s Research Council of America multiple times. She was featured in the San Diego Woman’s Magazine in 2014 for her leadership and skin expertise skills. She is part of the award winning team, Bernardo Dermatology Medical Group Inc., which recently was distinguished as ""Best dermatology practice in north San Diego County for 2015."" Dr. Larson loves people and strives to give impeccable personal care to each patient. She develops a personalized and comprehensive treatment plan that is tailored to each patient’s needs. From the moment treatment begins, Dr. Larson listens deeply with her mind and her heart. She is a long time resident of Rancho Bernardo and believes in community service. She has served on a non-profit board and more recently was a trustee of the Palomar Community College Board. In her free time Dr. Larson enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, two grandchildren, and playing tennis, biking and hiking.
