About Robert D. Rehnke, MD
Dr. Rehnke is a St. Petersburg native. He married his high school sweetheart and together they share two twin daughters. When not in the operating room, he enjoys gardening, reading, music, cooking and watching Duke basketball! Dr. Rehnke is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He has been practicing in St. Petersburg for over twenty years. Dr. Rehnke received his bachelor's degree, Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and he completed his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine in North Carolina. Dr. Rehnke completed a five year General Surgery Residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then returned to Duke University Medical Center for three years where he was a Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Rehnke specializes in cosmetic and facial surgery, liposuction, fat grafting, breast augmentation and breast reconstruction. He is an expert in breast surgery without silicone implants. He uses the internal mastopexy purse string technique with fat grafting, to achieve a full and natural looking breast. Dr. Rehnke's most recent publication was featured in the November 2018 issue of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal, "Anatomy of the superficial fascia system of the breast: a comprehensive theory on fascial anatomy.
