About Robert C. Kratschmer, MD
Dr. Robert Kratschmer, a native Texan and resident of Friendswood TX, is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon practicing in the greater Houston area with his primary office in Friendswood TX. He originally graduated from Texas A&M University in Aerospace Engineering, and after a thorough career as an engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center decided to advance to the medical field. After obtaining his medical degree from Texas Tech University, Dr. Kratschmer returned to Houston for his general surgery training at St. Joseph Medical Center. He followed that with fellowship training in acute burn reconstruction at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, which then led him to complete his plastic surgery training at St. Joseph Medical Center. Dr. Kratschmer began practicing medicine in 1999 and started his own private practice in 2005. He continues to train residents in the field of plastic surgery and is an adjunct attending physician for the plastic surgery training programs at UTMB-Galveston, UTHSC-Houston, and The Methodist Hospital.
