About Robert H. Dennis, MD
Internationally educated in England and the United States, Dr. Dennis is an Associate Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Dennis is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and graduated in just three years with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed an internship at Georgetown University Hospital. He returned to Howard University Hospital to do a residency in General Surgery. After completing the residency he served as a junior faculty member in the Dept. of Surgery then went into the private practice of General Surgery in Philadelphia for a year. Dr. Dennis completed the Plastic Surgery Residency program at George Washington University Hospital / Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and did a fellowship in Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Miami, School of Medicine with Dr. S. Anthony Wolfe, one of the foremost authorities in this field. As an educator in the National Capital Plastic Surgery Residency Program, Dr. Dennis was voted ""Outstanding Faculty Member"" in 1993 by the residents for his contributions to their education and training. His international contributions have included trips to Lima, Peru to perform cleft lip and cleft palate surgery, a trip to Khorogo, Cote D' Ivoire and Liberia. Dr. Dennis is an active member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the National Capital Plastic Surgery Society, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, an Associate member of the Association of Academic Chairmen of Plastic Surgery, a member of the Washington Academy of Surgery and member of the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Dennis’s main interests are Cosmetic Surgery, Body Sculpturing and Liposuction, Breast Surgery, Cranial and Maxillofacial Surgery and Reconstructive Head and Neck Surgery.
