About Richie L. Lin, MD

Richie L. Lin, M.D. of Dermatology Consultants of Short Hills is a board certified dermatologist. Dr. Lin graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music Literature. He then earned his doctorate of medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), during which time he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.Dr. Lin trained in internal medicine in San Francisco and then completed his dermatology residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, New York. During his residency, Dr. Lin served as Chief Resident in the Division of Dermatology. After his residency, Dr. Lin joined the faculty at the New York University School of Medicine. Expert NJ Dermatologist Dr. Lin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has returned to an office located in Short Hills, New Jersey and teaches at Columbia University. Dr. Lin is also a member of the attending staff at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. His specialty is skin cancer detection and skin cancer removal including Mohs Surgery. Dr. Lin also sees patients for general dermatology and he performs non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedures (including Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Laser hair removal, Fraxel Laser treatments and a wide variety of other laser treatments and light therapies). He has published extensively in peer-reviewed dermatology journals. Dr. Lin was raised in Millburn, New Jersey and is a graduate of Millburn High School. He lives with his wife, and enjoys running, golf, the New York Yankees and finding excellent parking spots in Manhattan. Dr. Lin enjoys serving a patient population from the Northern New Jersey communities of Essex County (Livingston), Morris County, and Union County.
