About Richard T. Yung, MD, FACS
Richard T. Yung graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1993. He completed his surgical internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery) at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. Subsequently, he then completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Buckhead Facial Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Yung is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Yung has won numerous awards in the medical field. He was voted the Norman E. Stoller award for the best surgical resident at Beth Israel Medical Center in 1995. In 1999, he received the New York Medical College Resident Teaching Award. Most recently, Dr. Yung received the 2000 John Orlando Roe Award for Best Clinical Research in Facial Plastic Surgery by a Fellow. This is a yearly national award given by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Yung's scope of practice includes endoscopic sinus surgery, snoring and obstructive sleep disorders, glandular disorders (thyroid, parotid, salivary), and head & neck surgery. His special area of expertise is facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Yung performs cosmetic procedures such as facelifts, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty (nasal surgery), and facial rejuvenation (chemical peels and laser). He performs reconstructive surgery such as skin cancers and facial deformities. Dr. Yung is currently affiliated with White Plains Hospital Center and treats patients at our White Plains , New York Office.
