About Richard H. Huggins, MD
Dr. Huggins attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, then received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. He completed his internship at The University of Buffalo and completed his dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He completed clinical research fellowships at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Huggins is currently a senior staff dermatologist in the Department of Dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Huggins’ clinical and research interests include: vitiligo, hidradenitis suppurativa and skin of color. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He serves on the board of directors of The Vitiligo Working Group, Vitiligo Support International, and Clarity LTF and is on the executive board of V Strong, The Southeast Michigan Vitiligo Support Group. Dr. Huggins is the author of numerous journal articles and chapters.
